The History Of Wear Pajamas to Work Day
There is no known establishment of Wear Pajamas to Work Day. However, pajamas came from the Persian word, leg garment, and as they first originated as drawstring pants worn by those from Southwest Asia. Eventually, they were introduced to British colonials, who introduced them to the rest of the world. No one gained acceptance of pajamas until the latter part of the 19th century.
Since then, pajamas were shortened to PJs, and then everyone wore them at night to bed. That evolved to the point that schools make PJs unique by allowing kids to wear their PJs to school on certain days. Now, if you work in an office, you can wear them to work on April 16th!
