National Renewal Day

Are you looking to make some fresh starts after facing a setback, or a failure, or have a change of heart for something? You are not alone, which is why there is a day dedicated other than New Years Day to start fresh. That day to make some new starts is on National Renewal Day.

May 4th is the day to start fresh as it is National Renewal Day. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the term renewal is defined as ‘the state of being made new, fresh, or strong again,’ which depicts the day. The things you can change include renewing your faith if you are struggling with finding it or holding onto it later. You can recommend yourself to your faith, meditation, and spiritual prayer because they provide you with so many rewards.

You can also refresh your perspective. For instance, if you are having a hard time getting out of bed because your mornings are hard, you will want to change to something about the mornings that are troubling you so you can make getting out of bed easier. You will also want to literally create a change to your view whether you work, eat, or sit. That means rearranging your furniture, and it is a good idea to learn about Feng Shui, which is by placing furniture in areas that may bring you some luck. You can also connect with old friends, get them back into your life as you make connections with new ones, and maybe even pick up an old hobby.

The History Of National Renewal Day

The history behind National Renewal Day is not known. However, it is assumed that since May is the time when everything is blooming, and May is the time when anything related to spring happens the most (in the Northern Hemisphere, that is), it makes sense that this would be a time to make some fresh starts. It is not known why May 4th is the day to be chosen for National Renewal Day. However, someone wanted to create a day during the spring to make some new changes, so many people do make some fresh starts. It is a refreshing time of year, anyway!
