History Of National Oregon Day
In 1859, Oregon was the 33rd state to become a part of the Union. Settlers and European explorers began occupying Chinook, Pez Perce, Molalla, Klamath Basin, and Columbia River Gorge. Then the Corps of Discovery Expedition settled near the Pacific in 1805, and then pioneers settled in the area known as the Oregon Trail. Oregon ended up with a gorge that was because of glacial floods and volcanic lava flow. Over time, Oregon gained its natural beauty from other volcanic activities as the state is known for its purity, blue water, nature trails, mountains, and gorgeous landscapes. On March 8th, the 33rd state part of the Union is celebrated for its natural beauty.
