Do you think much about the world’s water and the oceans, and the cleanliness of it? Do you underestimate the importance of clean and healthy water and marine life in the ocean? There is a day to become aware of the water supply’s environmental issues, which is on Mother Ocean Day.
May 10th is the day that urges you to learn about the oceans and marine life as it is Mother Ocean Day. Many people don’t realize the importance of clean oceans and the importance of keeping marine life healthy. In addition to that, not many people acknowledge that the world has five oceans and all of the water bodies contain the marine life that is essential to our existence.
The thing about oceans is that they are mysterious by nature as marine biologists are constantly finding new creatures yearly that live in oceans, particularly on the floor of large bodies of water. Even knowing that the world’s oceans are essential for life, let’s also talk about beauty. There is a reason that people enjoy going to the beach, and the beach provides a relaxing environment. However, the sound of the ocean waves is what provides a relaxing atmosphere. There is also a reason why people who live near the beach are calmer since water offers a calming effect. When you think of this day, think about your actions and how they affect marine life, so recycling is essential. This is the day when you appreciate everything about the ocean and help keep it healthy for the marine life and us!
The History Of Mother Ocean Day
The South Florida Fishing Club wanted to celebrate a day to appreciate the ocean. Therefore, the organization was the one to establish Mother Ocean Day, and it began in 2013. The City of Miami recognized the day and decided to declare the day as a national holiday. The entire state of Florida loved the idea of this type of day, and they celebrate Mother Ocean Day each year. That is simply a day to appreciate the beauty that comes from the ocean and to provide awareness about keeping marine life safe because if they are safe if the water is safe, so are we!
