International Dance Day

Do you enjoy dancing? If so, what kind of dances do you like? Do you like dancing to fast hip-hop music at dance clubs? Or are you the type that prefers a slow dance? Do you like ballet? Regardless of the style, you will want to enjoy it more on International Dance Day.

April 29th urges you to have some fun dancing. There are so many amazing things about dancing, regardless of whether you like to dance at a club to hip-hop music, square dance to your favorite bluegrass grass or country tunes, slow ballroom dancing, or ballet, and so on! Dancing is an art mixed with exercise. The other thing that is great about dancing is that it is a great stress reliever and can release endorphins and serotonin, which are happy chemicals. If you dance regularly, you will get healthy as well.

It is also a great idea to take some dance classes so you can dance with others and socialize simultaneously, as connecting with others is good for you. Dancing is a great way to introduce everyone to various traditions that can help foster the connection to others. Therefore, International Dance Day is not just for professional dancers but for everyone to dance with one another. This day is a popular day because people do love dancing. As time goes on, dancing will be even more popular and a chosen form of exercise since it is pretty enjoyable.

History Of International Dance Day

Dance Day has been around since 1982 as it was established by the Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute to educate others about the value of dancing and encourage humanitarian acts among governments, institutions, and politicians that haven’t yet recognized the importance of every individual. April 29th is the chosen date for Dance Day because Jean-Georges Noverre (1727 to 1810) established modern ballet. Therefore, that is a perfect day for International Dance Day since ballet is one of the most popular dances. However, again, International Dance Day does not only single out ballet as it is ideal for any dance you like!
