International Body Piercing Day

What do you think when you see someone who has body piercings all over? Especially when they have tattoos to accompany that? You will either not like it or appreciate the art. Those who have body piercings do so because it is a way of expression, and you want to celebrate that on International Body Piercing Day.

June 28th is the day to appreciate body piercings as it is a form of art, and that is International Body Piercing Day. The way people express themselves often is through body art. It may be tattoos, piercings, or both, and people who engage in that seem to want to add different piercings in different areas of their bodies such as their noses, multiple earrings on ears, naval, tongues, and so on. Some people may prefer to have a few piercings, including a nose ring and a few earrings on one ear. Others will have multiple piercings on their bodies.

It does not matter if you are a man or a woman, as either one loves to have piercings if they want to express themselves that way. If you are not keen on those who flaunt their body piercings, then you will feel that judging them is the way to go, which it really is not. Therefore, that means the next time you are on the transit or subway, or just any public place and you see someone wearing multiple body piercings, don’t judge. Just know that they are doing it to express themselves the way they feel is right for them.

The History Of International Body Piercing Day

Jim Ward, who was known as the granddaddy of the body piercing movement, established the national day and has always been influential in body piercings. He had influenced the western world when it came to body piercings, and he was also the one who developed unique ways and methods for piercings. He was also known to introduce piercings in private areas of the body as well. Therefore, those who appreciate their body art, whether piercings or tattoos, will always want to pay tribute to Jim Ward as he has been one significant influence over them for the longest time.
