When you eat your fruits and vegetables and even your meat, you probably don’t think about the work and labor that it involves the farmers to get that over to you. You will want to believe that you are ready to eat some meat or fresh produce on Farm Workers Day the next time.
June 10th is when you want to appreciate the farmer’s work by cultivating your meals on Farm Workers Day. When you visit your grocery store, all of the fresh produce, meats, herbs, grains, and dairy products result from the hard work of the farmers. You don’t even think about that as all you think about when you go grocery shopping is by crossing your shopping list each time you grab an item you need. Why would this be important to you to do? You know that a farmer’s job is one of the most difficult ones in the world.
A farmer has to wake up very early before sunrise to start their day, and they are working until very late at night. They don’t have a lot of time to do leisure activities because they constantly grow and cultivate food to feed others. That is something that no one considers. When you have the luxury of doing something you enjoy, such as reading, watching television, and relaxing, the farmer who grew and cultivated your meals don’t have that luxury because they are constantly working. Therefore, you will want to think about the work they put in, which is why there is a national day called Farm Workers Day so that you can do that.
The History Of Farm Workers Day
There is no known origin for the history of Farm Workers Day. However, as you know, farming has been one of the most challenging jobs since the beginning of time. Before technological advancements, farmers had to stand outdoors regardless of the weather to do their work. Thanks to technological advances, farmers have a little bit of a more straightforward job nowadays than they did even several decades ago. The result is difficult, but it is also dangerous as some machines that farmers have to work with are dangerous. Working with animals can also be a difficult task as they can turn on you without any warning. That is why a day to thank the farmers worldwide is here because of the complex and dangerous work they do to feed you.
How To Acknowledge Farm Workers Day
You can donate to a farming charity so you show your thanks and gratitude or you can visit a farm and personally thank a farmer for the hard work they do. You can even go and buy some fresh produce from the farm. If you do that, why not take a picture of it and share it on social media by using #FarmWorkersDay in the hashtag.
