What happens when you are too busy and don’t have time to wash your hair? Or, what if you are sick but too exhausted to take a shower? You don’t want to be dirty, which is why dry shampoo is one of the greatest inventions. There is a dedicated day for this invention which is known as Dry Shampoo Day.
March 14th reminds you that if you do not have time or energy to shower and wash your hair, use dry shampoo to clean up instead. That is because March 14th is Dry Shampoo Day, and it is there to remind you that you do not have to worry about going into a situation where your hair is not clean, causing social awkwardness. Dry shampoo will take care of it. Not to mention, dry shampoo is so easy to use.
All you need to do is grab some dry shampoo and rub it on your hair, and then it only takes a minute or so to do that. You then have clean hair, and it will help you feel fresh too. There are situations when you cannot shower so easily and have to rely on dry shampoo (and baby wipes) to keep yourself clean.
For instance, astronauts on the International Space Station have to utilize that hygiene tactic since they cannot take the type of showers you take on Earth as they are in microgravity settings. Therefore, they take their dry shampoo, clean their hair, and clean the rest of themselves off using baby wipes. They don’t have to worry about being unclean!
History Of Dry Shampoo Day
Klorane, a European botanical beauty brand known for its elite dry shampoos, declared this day to be Dry Shampoo Day in 2017. The motivation behind that was to provide a cleanliness solution since the last thing people want to do after the switch to Daylight Savings time is taking a shower.
However, dry shampoo has been around long before that as it became a thing in the 15th century as Europeans and Asians used starches from the ground to keep their hair fresh that their wigs covered. In 1940, the first commercial dry shampoo came about, and it became a hit because you can stay clean if you have no time! Dry shampoo is the solution to clean your hair if you don’t have the time or means to shower.
